Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about building and monetizing your app with Google Ads and Bing Ads.

App Development

How long does it take to build and launch my app?
Most apps go from kickoff to App Store submission in 8–12 weeks. Simple utility apps can ship in 6 weeks. Complex apps with custom backends typically take 12–16 weeks. We use agile 2-week sprints so you see real progress every two weeks, not just a big reveal at the end.
Which platforms do you build for?
We build for iOS, Android, and cross-platform (React Native and Flutter). For most indie developers, we recommend starting with a cross-platform build to maximize reach with a single codebase. If you need platform-specific performance or features, we build native Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android).
Do you build the backend and API as well?
Yes. We handle the full stack — mobile app, backend API, database architecture, and cloud infrastructure. We typically use Firebase for rapid launches and AWS or GCP for apps that need custom backend logic or enterprise-grade scalability.
What if I already have an app but want to add monetization?
That's one of our most common engagements. We audit your existing app, identify monetization gaps, integrate ad SDKs (Google AdMob, Microsoft Advertising), and set up the tracking infrastructure needed to run profitable paid campaigns.

Google Ads & Bing Ads

What is the minimum ad budget to get started?
We recommend a minimum of $1,500/month in ad spend to gather meaningful data for optimization. For Google UAC campaigns targeting app installs, $3,000–$5,000/month is where you start seeing strong learning-phase results. Bing Ads can be effective starting at $800/month due to lower CPCs.
How is Bing Ads different from Google Ads for app monetization?
Bing Ads (Microsoft Advertising) reaches a different demographic — typically older, higher-income users who are often overlooked by competitors focused solely on Google. CPCs are typically 30–60% lower than Google for equivalent intent. For many app categories, Bing delivers a better ROAS precisely because the space is less saturated.
What ROAS can I realistically expect?
Our clients average 3.8x ROAS across campaigns. However, ROAS varies significantly by app category, monetization model, and target audience. Subscription apps typically achieve higher LTV and can sustain 2–3x ROAS profitably. Free apps with in-app purchases need 4x+ to be sustainably profitable. We model your specific unit economics before launching.
How long before I see results from ad campaigns?
Google UAC campaigns need 2–4 weeks of learning phase before optimization kicks in. You'll see initial data within the first week, but reliable optimization signals emerge at 4–6 weeks. Bing Ads typically ramp faster due to smaller auction sizes. We provide weekly reports from day one so you're never in the dark.

Working with Us

Do you work with developers who have no prior ad experience?
Absolutely — in fact, that's our most common client profile. You don't need to know anything about Google Ads or Bing Ads. We handle campaign creation, keyword strategy, bid management, creative testing, and reporting. We do teach you what matters so you understand your own business metrics.
What does the engagement process look like?
It starts with a free 30-minute strategy call. We review your app concept or existing app, discuss your monetization goals, and determine if we're a good fit. If we move forward, you receive a detailed proposal within 48 hours covering scope, timeline, and investment. Engagements begin with a discovery sprint.
Do you offer ongoing ad management after launch?
Yes. Most clients continue with monthly ad management retainers after their initial launch engagement. Monthly retainers include campaign management, bid optimization, A/B creative testing, and a monthly performance report. Retainer pricing scales with your ad spend.
What information do you need to start?
To begin a discovery conversation, just reach out via our contact page. For a detailed proposal, we'll need: your app concept or existing app details, your target audience, your monetization model (ads, subscriptions, in-app purchases), and your intended ad budget range.
